Robert B. Jones is the executive associate dean for strategic planning, analysis, and operations at the IU School of Medicine. An M.D. with a focus on infectious diseases and a Ph.D. in biochemistry, Jones joined the IU faculty in 1978 as professor of medicine and of microbiology and immunology. He subsequently served as the chief of the Division of Infectious Disease and vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Medicine, and associate dean for clinical affairs and medical director and chief executive officer of Wishard Health Services. His extensive background, experience, and expertise make him a crucial asset to the life sciences initiative.
